Founded in 2017 by industrial engineer Paolo Tiramani, his son Galiano Tiramani, and mechanical engineer Kyle Denman, Boxabl began after a $2M self‑investment to explore prefab housing solutions. The goal: mass‑produce homes in a factory that fold flat for easy shipping—starting with their flagship model, the Casita, a 361 ft² studio home.

Early federal contract: In May 2021, secured a $9M order to build and deliver 156 Casitas for a U.S. military base (Guantánamo Bay)—its first large-scale deployment.

DR Horton partnership: In February 2022, announced collaboration with DR Horton, a leading homebuilder, including a phase‑1 order for 100 Casitas and investment support.

To scale production rapidly, Boxabl expanded its Las Vegas campus: Factory Building 1 launched in 2021, followed by Factory 2 & 3 in 2023, boosting capacity across 400,000 sq. ft and adding ~$15M in automation equipment.

Phase 2 Modular System: Introduced a new lineup of larger modules (20′×20′, 20′×30′, 20′×40′) with 10‑ft ceilings, light‑gauge steel frames, multiple layout configurations (up to ~1,400 ft² stackables) designed for efficiency and code compliance.

Baby Box: A compact, turnkey home priced at ~$19,999, featured at IBS 2025. Pre-orders began in early 2025, signaling a push toward affordable DIY-installable units.

Late Jan 2025: The Casita received approval for sale under residential building codes in Nevada and all of California, opening major new markets. Spring 2025: Announced a 27-unit senior housing project in Fontana, California, in partnership with Bethel AME Church under SB4 affordable housing legislation.

Raised over $150M+ via Regulation A crowdfunding, from 40K+ investors at prices around $0.80 per share, valuing the company at ~$3.4B. Delivered approximately 700+ homes as of early 2025.
