Ample Foods is a San Francisco-based nutrition startup founded in October 2015 by Connor Young, a former CrossFit coach and healthcare entrepreneur. The company specializes in drinkable meal replacements made from real-food ingredients, aiming to provide a convenient and nutritious solution for busy, health-conscious individuals.

The idea for Ample Foods originated when Connor Young sought a quick, healthy meal solution during his demanding work schedule. He began experimenting with recipes in his kitchen, leading to the creation of the first Ample formula.

In 2015, Ample Foods launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo, which became the top-funded food and beverage campaign at the time. Ample initially offered its original formula and later expanded to include:

Ample K: A ketogenic formula.

Ample V: A vegan formula.

Ample Foods raised approximately $1.1 million in June 2016, $900,000 in April 2017, and $2 million in May 2018, bringing its total funding to $4 million.

In 2021, Ample faced challenges with its supplier, leading to product shortages and delays. The company announced plans to set up its own manufacturing and fulfillment center to improve control over production and shipping.
